Helping Gateshead dog owners choose the best fit
When you’re busy with work or other commitments, you want to make sure your dog is well cared for during the day. Two common options are dog day care and dog walking—but how do you know which is right for your pet?
At Chrysidis Pet Care in Gateshead, I offer both doggy day care and walking services, and here’s how I help dog owners choose.
What’s the Difference?

Your dog spends the whole day at my home with structure, rest, and routine.

Companionship from morning to evening Play, naps, and walks Meals (provided by me) Calm, crate-free care in a quiet home
Dog Walking – £11/walk (After 4PM)

Which Option Is Right for Your Dog?
Choose Doggy Day Care if:
Your dog gets anxious when left alone You’ll be gone for more than 5–6 hours Your dog needs routine or rest throughout the day You want them supervised and stimulated in a calm space
Choose Dog Walking if:
Your dog is comfortable alone most of the day They just need exercise or a bathroom break You have a consistent schedule but need occasional support You’re looking for budget-friendly care
Some Dogs Use Both!
Many clients use walking on weekdays and day care for busier days—it’s about what fits your schedule and your dog’s needs.
